The State Governor could never forget those famous words of the late General Sani Abacha in the coup speech from the 1980s – “Our hospitals have become mere consulting clinics”. Driven by his passion to change things, he has appointed the internationally renowned surgeon Professor Owoeye as the Executive Chairman of the State Hospital Management Board.
